Greetings to you in the Victorious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This is an amazing promise that we receive from the Lord and we have a highest privilege of claiming it from the Lord.

In the old King James, we read as “Call unto Me” this means that our Lord is expecting our call like a parent expects a call from the children. The sweet voice of the children surpasses any harp or lyre; said a great poet and our Lord is longing to listen to us.

When Jesus was physically living in this world, he spent a lot of time in prayer especially in the night time. He was moving around the province of Galilee helping people, delivering them from sickness, demon possession, preaching the word of the heavenly kingdom, sometimes feeding them, and even raising the dead. Naturally it is a tiresome ministry. He did not have any motor car or chariot to move from place to place except for a certain times the disciples took Him in the boat. When the disciples and the followers were sleeping he was in constant communication with the Lord especially when the world was calm and silent.

D L Moody was a powerful man of God in the 19th century and he would never miss a prayer time in the night despite being tired of the evening ministry. The more he was tired, the more he would spend in the Lord’s presence. Never gave up the sweet hour of prayer. This was actually the secret of his successful ministry and thousands and thousands were led to salvation by his anointed messages.
