In Module 6, I created a slide deck presentation to outline my complete evaluation plan for Magic Student AI, an educational technology tool designed to enhance student writing through personalized AI-driven feedback. This project brought together all the components developed throughout the course, from selecting an evaluation model to choosing data collection methods and defining success indicators.
My proposal identified a central problem that many educators face: the decline in structured writing, which is partially due to the casual tone that students adopt from social media and texting. The goal of my evaluation was to assess whether Magic Student AI could help close this performance gap by offering personalized support aligned with curriculum standards.
The evaluation plan was structured around key components:
Evaluation Questions focused on user engagement, writing improvement, and platform usability.
Milestones included initial rollout, midterm check-ins, and final assessment phases.
Data Collection Methods included surveys, LMS analytics, writing samples, and classroom observations.
Reporting Plan involved presenting findings through stakeholder-friendly dashboards, reports, and presentations.
I utilized visual elements, such as graphs, milestone timelines, and sample data dashboards, to make the pitch clear and engaging. I also included artifacts from earlier modules to demonstrate how each part of the evaluation was intentionally and iteratively built.
The feedback I received was both affirming and insightful.
Eric appreciated the clarity of the presentation and how I wove in past module work to support the full proposal, saying it made for a compelling and thorough case.
Mark effectively connected the real-world relevance of the problem I addressed, particularly the challenge of casual writing in academic spaces, and found the visuals to be both accessible and practical.
Jasmine highlighted my thoughtful alignment with learning theories such as constructivism and personalized learning. She felt the theoretical connections strengthened the rationale behind the project and acknowledged the importance of adapting instruction to diverse learner needs.
This assignment helped me realize the importance of presenting evaluation findings in a way that is not only data-rich but also stakeholder-ready. Through the feedback, I was reassured that my presentation effectively communicated both the rationale and methodology behind my evaluation design, making a strong case for the potential of Magic Student AI in today’s classrooms.
