Breeding Rites are a set of images or literature that must be completed in order for an algolope to be bred. This activity is the same for both Tamed and Wild.
Rules
Art must be fullbody (6+ sections) see [Rank Points] guide for visual, fully colored, shaded and with a complex background.
Literature must be at least 800 words, with an additional +400 words per extra algolope.
A max of 3 algolope may be featured per Rites submission. Riders, handlers or guiding starters are optional.
Offerings and donations are up to player interpretation, the offerings can be anything the algolope deems a suitable offering to the deities or even what a handler give to their algo to leave at the shrines.
All the rites may be submitted as one submission, as long as each individual rite is a clearly defined section and proper information is included in the description individually per rite. If submitting as a combined image, be sure the artwork follows all general submission requirements.
Your young Algolope has finally gotten a hang of some of the skills it requires to become a successful hunter and racer. However they still need to prove their worth to their Deities, Soley and Magena, the gods of the sun and moon, before being granted a Breeding Seal. The two gods are know to be forever linked, following one another across the skies, causing the sun to rise in the morning, and the moon at night. As a long-time tradition, rumored to date back centuries, all Algolope have found and carried offerings to the two statues of the gods or to their smaller shrines dotting the landscape, offering them at the altars. Oddly this habit hasn't been instilled into the large creatures by human means, and for whatever reason, they always make an offering before having their first litters. Wild algolope accomplish this task by collecting and depositing offerings in a place with odd standing stones, stacked rocks, or carved structures, close-by their dens. Often they do so either as the sun rises, or once its sets and the moon rises. It is speculated that the algolopes make these rock structures, but many have existed since ancient times and algos seem drawn to den where the structures persist.

The second rite that young Algolope partake in, is a ritual hunt. The animals are often painted, and adorned with masks and custom accessories, featuring colorful and sometimes ornate patterns, before being sent out to hunt a prey it deems a worthy opponent or a representation of itself. Old traditions often equate that an Algolopes' soul determines the animal they find during this hunt, and many riders often jest that their animals always seem to act in a way reminiscent of their quarry. Wild algolopes adorn their bodies in natural pigments, from flowers, mud or insects, or have their bodies marked by their den-mates and pack. It seems that despite human understanding, wild algos also partake in a ritualistic hunt for an animal representing itself.

The final rite an Algolope must complete in order to gain a Breeding seal, is to find and construct its own den. Often these den-sites can range vastly in construction, being made from the reeds near a river, a simple ring of rocks marking a nest, or even a dark hole dug in the bank of a hill. Dens are regularly decorated to the liking of the algolope, mostly with their collections and even future offerings to the deities. Despite making elaborate or even simple dens and nests, many tamed algolope often rarely birth their young in them, due to human interaction, trade, and demand for the offspring. However some riders and trainers do allow their algolope to nest in their own dens, preferring this over the man-made dens of commercial stables. Wild algolopes will nest in their wild dens and use these sites for multiple litters unless human encroachment or a natural event like a fire forces their relocation.
As you complete each rite you can submit it to their respective thread on the import. Once all rites are completed, comment [HERE] with the following:
