Cosmetics

Algolopes imports may be decorated or edited to personalize and customize the imports. There are various items that affect different areas of an import. This guide details Cosmetic Items, which are premade, either by the group or it's members. Cosmetics have limited customization options and sometimes are simply PNG files that can be added on top of an import.

Some general guidelines: No Cosmetics should appear like a copyrighted character, brand, or item from any media.
Cosmetics cannot feature real world brands, symbols or religious symbols, they may feature lore-accurate religious symbols.
Text should remain fantasy based, like Elven script or Runes, but must have a translation source or meaning when uploading to Import Updates.
The import without modification should be submitted and approved to the group before submitting a version with Cosmetics. Once the import is uploaded you can then submit cosmetics via Import Updates. We upload both versions for record keeping and to show markings underneath cosmetics. Due to this we allow cosmetics to cover more of the import than other ARPG.

As the group progresses, more items will be released, members may also design and sell Cosmetics for other members use, with variable terms, however to use an unofficial cosmetic you will need to use the applicable Decoration Item, such as Makeshift Accessory, Small Decoration, or Large Decoration.

Cosmetic Rules:
Some Cosmetics allow Custom Colors or choosing colors, these are the only things that can generally be edited. The lines/shading may be adjusted slightly to match the colors better, but must remain darker than the color it sits over. Such as making the shading a warm color for a orange, red or yellow cosmetic, or a cool color for blue, purple, or green.
Exceptions: Adjusting the shape of the cosmetic to account for fur tufts, import edits,  or other cosmetics on an import. You may layer cosmetics or erase parts to fit properly on imports or to account for different ears and horns. The cosmetic may be moved around on the import slightly, such as to fit a saddle to the back, or to line up a bangle with a limb. Cosmetics should not be rotated or transformed to be larger or smaller.

Some cosmetics may require editing the base design to remove stray fur tufts or spots of color overflowing.
