The world of Algolopes is similar to earth, though with a bit more fantasy mixed in. The time period is medieval-high fantasy, with villages, towns, and cities, some more advanced than others. Most people wear either simple clothing or leathers, furs and armor. It's also common to see people walking around with weapons of all sorts. Magic is commonplace, and races like Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, and similar populate the world.
Even though this is the general setting, we encourage members to expand or make up their own settings, time frames and characters. There's no official race, and the only requirement for riders is that they have some humanoid form. Do what you find fun.
How to Join:
Joining the group is as simple as hitting the Join button on our deviantart page. All requests are accepted, and you don't need a rider, or any Algolope to become a member. There are also no activity requirements and you're not require to use your algolope in the group if you don't want to! However if you wish to participate in the group it is highly recommended to also join our DISCORD! We post updates, sneakpeaks, and can provide assistance as needed!
Getting your first Algolope:
If you don't already own an Algolope you can check the Adoption Center for any donated genos, or see if imports are open on the front page! Specific Deals and Import Requests will be also announced on the News Thread.
Another option is to check the Advertisements Gallery Folder or our #selling or #trading channels in discord to see if anyone is selling or trading kits or slots.
Playstyles:
Algolopes features two gameplay styles. Wild and Tamed. Depending on what your choose, you'll have different activities and storylines. A single member can participate both in the Wilds game and Tamed, which features the classic algolopes used as mounts and for racing.
With Wilds you play the game with your Algolope as the character, this gameplay is more roleplay focused. They can explore, interact and do quests featuring wild algolopes, with unique story quests and the chance to find RNG algos to join their pack. Wild algos can join megapacks or public group packs, or with enough experience they can form their own pack with other members. You can collaborate with other members to shape your algos story!
Wild algos can participate in all the regular activities as the classic ARPG tamed can, though some story quests will be locked to either Wilds or Tamed. They can also breed with tamed algos, provided they've completed their rites, as well as dungeon dive!
Tamed algos is another method of gameplay where your algos are used as mounts for the various activities in the game. While more focused on modern/classic arpg activities, we still encourage quality over quantity and character building. We do not require riders to be depicted in most activities so you can instead substitute group starters if you so choose, or you can develop your rider with their algos and show their journey. Some activities like racing are specific to tamed algos and story events related to this activity, or locations such as the Research Center and 'civilization' are not accessible to Wilds.

How to Breed?
If you're interested in breeding your Algolope, please be sure to read the Breeding Rites Guide, as it details what needs to be done in order for an Algolope to be able to breed.
If you have an Algolope that has earned it's Breeding Seal you can request breedings HERE!
All import images will have a Featured comment sections where Training, Rites, and Achievements will be listed. Do not reply to the Achievement section, though if you've completed the Training or Rites, and they've been accepted to the group you can link them under their respective sections.
Rankings
All Algolope are assigned a ranking from birth, which with training, art and competitions, they can rise to higher ranks and receive bonuses such as more health, higher stats, and more breeding slots
