Algolopes features two gameplay styles. Wild and Tamed. Depending on what your choose, you'll have some different activities and storylines. A single member can participate both in the Wilds game and Tamed, which features the classic algolopes used as mounts and for racing.
With Wilds you play the game with your Algolope as the character, this gameplay is more roleplay focused. They can explore, interact and do quests featuring wild algolopes, with unique story quests and the chance to find RNG algos to join their pack. Wild algos can join megapacks or public group packs, or with enough experience they can form their own pack with other members. You can collaborate with other members to shape your algos story!
Wild algos can participate in all the regular activities as the classic ARPG tamed can, though some story quests will be locked to either Wilds or Tamed. They can also breed with tamed algos, provided they've completed their rites, as well as dungeon dive!
Tamed algos is another method of gameplay where your algos are used as mounts for the various activities in the game. While more focused on modern/classic arpg activities, we still encourage quality over quantity and character building. We do not require riders to be depicted in most activities so you can instead substitute group starters if you so choose, or you can develop your rider with their algos and show their journey. Some activities like racing are specific to tamed algos and story events related to this activity, or locations such as the Research Center and 'civilization' are not accessible to Wilds.
WILDS PLAY
Wilds is a new setting, based on developing your character rather than just gaining loot. Rank Points (RP) is gained the same way as Tamed, and most activities are accessibly by Wild Algolopes, though with some variations.
This page is the main HUB for WILDS Play and hosts guidelines for WILDS specific activities, such as wilds story quests and prompts!

Primary differences between Tamed and Wild Algolopes:
Litters- Wild Algolope have smaller litters, with 1-2 kits, rarely 3.
Height: Wild Algolope are generally on the larger side compared to Tamed Algolopes. Averaging no less than 72 inches and up to 84 inches tall.
Breeding Season: Wild Algolopes can only breed in Fall - (August, September, October) or the Lore Months of Vero, Luru and Luga.
[Wilds Breeding Requests] and must complete Rites like Tamed in order to breed.
In addition, each pair must have a Courtship Submission (Nothing explicit) of the two Algolope meeting and spending time together. This can be either Art or Lit.
Wild Algolope Breeding limits are a separate mechanic from Breeding Tamed Algolopes, where there can be up to 3 pairs and 1 split litter between another member. (If you count tamed this is 8 breedings per month), Wild Algolope also need to be 'Aged up' to Adults if not Imports, Encountered Adult Algolopes, or Leader Characters.
Stats: Wild Algolope start with +1 Str, +1 Sta and -1 Spd Stats. (This affects the rng initial roll)
Wild ID: W#### a distinction between tamed and Wild is in the ID of the Algolope. All Imports prior to 2017 are considered Tamed. You can start gameplay with a WILD Algolope by getting one [HERE]
Horns: Instead of Nubs, Wild Algos and offspring can carry Long Antlers. Females do not have antlers unless they have Horns Mutation, but their offspring may have them. In addition, breeding a Wild Algolope to a Tamed Algolope has a 50% chance to pass the Long Antlers. Long antlers can be bred from Long Coat Algolopes that carry the trait as well.
Packs: Wild Algolope live in packs of related family members and individuals from other packs looking to start their own.
Packs are comprised of a lead male and female Algolope who make the primary decisions on pack movement, migration, and hunting decisions.
Dens: Wild Algolope prefer to make dens for rearing young and resting. Wild algolopes will nest in their dens and use these sites for multiple litters unless human encroachment or a natural event like a fire forces their relocation. Often Packs will return to the same Nesting Grounds for multiple generations as well.
Aging and Kits:
After Breeding, Kits can be freely depicted, but in order for Kits to age up they need at least 2 pictures or literature as babies. From there they reach Juvenile stage and with 3 more images or lits they can age to Adults and complete their rites.
Note: For story purposes it is optional to age up your Algolopes. You can keep them kits for 20 drawings, and then do the 3 drawings to age to adults, or you can do 2 drawings as kits and otherwise keep them as Juveniles. In addition, you can draw your Wilds as Adults but they cannot breed even with completed Rites until 'Flashbacks' are done of the prior life stages.
Aging:
Kit -> Juvenile : 2 drawings
Juvenile -> Adult : 3 drawings
Aging up can be done in any activity/image and does not require a background but does require colors! Or at least 400 words for writing!
Aging artwork could simply be exploring how to draw the character in various life states as well! Like a newborn kit with its parents, a little menace on four legs, or a gangly long-legged juvenile tripping on its own paws!
