Dungeons are special lore based areas where members can bring up to 2 Algolope and optional rider pairs to explore, fight monsters, and even find loot. Dungeons are open to both Tamed and Wild Play styles.
In order to Dungeoneer, each participating Algolope must have completed its training (trained all stats) and received it's final stats (denoted by a [★] ) . Stats determine what can happen in a dungeon, and as such, any who've not discovered their final stats cannot participate. Once an Algo had finished training, it will also be given a Dungeoneer Level, listed below the stats section of the import, all beginning Algos start at Level 0, and progress through the levels with each monster they defeat, or by completing dungeons and winning or participating in Boss battles. Higher level Algolopes can go to more difficult dungeons and earn more valuable loot.
Acceptable Submissions for Dungeons must be at least 250x250 pixels, fully colored and shaded, depicting each participating Algolope as a fullbody, with a complex background (see Rank Points). Written Submissions must be at least 1400-1800 words. Dungeon Submissions should be uploaded to the Dungeon Folder. In the description of the Dungeon submission you must detail the following for each participating Algolope:
Submission Form:
[Import Link] (List the name and link the import to the text)
[Tracker Link] -> Must link to your copy of the Official Algolope Tracker Google Sheet.
Current CON: (Constitution Stat)
1 CON = 10 HP
Rp Breakdown
Total: +# RP

Armor: List w/bonuses
Companions: List w/bonuses

(Leave anything not relevant with N/A)
Rider: Link (if using a rider for RP bonuses or featured in a group)
In the past dungeons were handwritten per room with exploration options, while fun these became far too tedious to realistically continue. The new system works with each submission (art or writing) counting as exploring a room. Dungeons will have a listed number of rooms and admins will still reply with some flavor text, descriptions and with encounter roll results. These comments will be posted on the dungeon submission so be sure to not delete your dungeon works or you'll lose your progress entirely!
Your submissions will receive the following comments:
A short description of the room, any related event or finds, and the option to continue the dungeon or abandon the trip.
- Finds: You merely need to create another image to continue to the next room, finds are items, companions, or even lost genos that are automatically banked by the rolling admin.
- Encounters: Encounters are run ins with NPC, group algos or other friendlies in the dungeon, these characters could provide items or helpful tips for the dungeon, or even offer a special dungeon shop where you can stock up or heal your adventuring party. Encounters are comment based or short Roleplay-like responses where you simply reply with what option you want.
- Battles: A fight brews, battles are comment based, where your algolopes fight monsters or enemies. If successful in battles the participating algolope will be awarded EXP and can continue their dungeoneering. If an algolope reaches 0 HP they cannot continue the dungeon, nor join another for the remainder of the month. To join a dungeon in a new month, they must be healed via items or artwork. See Healing.
Losing a fight might also mean you lose a random assortment of gained items or gold! (Only from what was acquired in the dungeon)
- Prompt: Some rooms come with prompts for admins to add to the room description. If you have the applicable stat(s) you can reply to activate the prompt and use up that stat point. Prompts often reward extra items or finds!
- Boss Key: A Special Event find, that allows multiple Algo/members to participate, and is ran as a group Event. The discovering member can use the BOSS KEY to initiate a Group-wide Boss Battle! Boss Keys cannot be sold or traded and are a purely found via RNG. Boss battles cannot be done solo. Redeem a BOSS KEY on the [Boss Battle] page!
Note:
To abandon or flee a dungeon means you lose out on all future loot for completing the dungeon, but at the same time you avoid your algolopes being injured, keep all current loot, and can participate in another dungeon during that same month, once more properly prepared. Keep in mind however, that some dungeons are a one time event and if you abandon a special dungeon you won't be able to rejoin it! You can complete a dungeon with one active algolope, even if their partner is downed! (The partner won't get any additional loot)
Fleeing a dungeon requires an artwork or writing depicting the algolopes leaving, or attempting to flee a battle if in one, worth at least 6RP. Battles may take a few attempts to flee, however you can abandon a dungeon at any point as long as your party is not in a battle.
If all participating algolope are downed, the dungeon ends and you cannot participate in another dungeon until the next month, regardless of whether you've healed your party.
A group of Jelly have appeared, attaching themselves to [Algolope] and dealing 2 damage! [Algolope] can choose to either attempt to flee, or fight off the Slimes and continue exploring!
-2 HP!
Current Hp: 98/100 HP (1 point CON = 10 HP)
To fight please reply with your choice of Offensive Action, or Flee. You may choose the number of attacks within the range of your Algolope's abilities, listed below, you may also use up all attacks of an option and deal max damage, however Offensive Actions only decrease in availability unless consuming items to restore them. The number of remaining moves per stat will be updated as combat continues. If you succeed in the combat portion you may continue the dungeon.
♦ Dex: Deal up to 1dX tail attacks for a total of 1/2 Dex stat damage each!
♦ Agi: Deal up to 1dX pounce attacks for a total of 1 damage each, static damage, number of attacks depends on stat!
or
♦ Agi:Use agility to avoid 1dX attacks, negating damage entirely, you can't attack however! (Good for when you know a strong attack is headed your way!)
♦ Str: Give those Slimes a taste of your Algolope's might! Attack 1dX times for a total of X damage each, dealing your full Strength as dmg! (# of attacks based on STA, DMG based on STR)
♦ Spd: Flee. XX% chance of success, unlimited use. Fleeing the battle means you also flee the dungeon. This allows continuation at a later date and prevents loss of items, however limited dungeons may not be able to be rejoined. (flee % based on speed stat, 1 point = 10%.)
In order for a Flee to be rolled you must complete a written or drawn submission of your algolope attempting to exit the dungeon or flee the battle, this artwork should be worth at least 6RP.
For example if you wish to fight 2x Jelly and your Algolope has 10 Str and 5 Stamina, you could choose the Str Option and choose to deal 5 attacks (out of 5), or 50 damage total, killing one Jelly. The other Jelly attacks 8 times, dealing 24 damage to your Algolope.
The admin would then post that round's results.
-24 HP!
Current Hp: 74/100 HP
Congratulations you earned +5 exp, 1x jelly, 1x Shiny Stone!
Then you would receive the next round of options. Remember that attacks only decrease in number, if you use all 5 STR attacks you're out of STR attacks for the remainder of the dungeon unless you use items to replenish their stamina. [Same for any other skill ability]
ex Round 2:
♦ Dex: Deal up to 1dX tail attacks for a total of 1/2 Dex stat damage each!
♦ Agi: Deal up to 1dX pounce attacks for a total of 1 damage each, static damage, number of attacks depends on stat!
or
♦ Agi:Use agility to avoid 1dX attacks, negating damage entirely, you can't attack however! (Good for when you know a strong attack is headed your way!)
Notice that Strength is no longer an option. Choose wisely and have fun! Should an Algolope succeed in the battle they may progress through the dungeon! You can also take the time post battle to use items in comments!
Continuing a Dungeon:
If you've gotten your results roll or survived a battle, you simply need to create another submissions to continue exploring the dungeon. If you reach the end you'll get the completion rewards!
Dungeons have a 1 month time frame to explore, even if it cycles back the next month! Due to this, if you do not continue your dungeon dive or forget to complete the responses in comments, that loot or result may be lost! Aside from that, nothing else happens, any current DMG remains as well as previous acquired loot.
Don't feel pressured to finish a dungeon if you don't have time, you can always try again as long as the Dungeon is not 'Limited'.
Limited Dungeons often has special time frames or separate rules that may make them exempt from the 1 month timer.
Con: Health. 1 Con= 10 HP. Once at 0, you lose and cannot continue a dungeon for the rest of the month, unless using items to heal between encounters.
Spd: How fast your Algo is compared to monsters. A fast Algo can even possibly outrun a monster, or has better chances at fleeing. Fleeing allows continuation of dungeon at later date within month, and retains items. (1 Spd = 10% flee chance)
Dex: How often an Algo can make a tail attack, climb, or balance per dungeon. [A stat of 4 would allow up to 4 tail attacks, or a mixture of all actions] Tail attacks deal half-stat damage. If an algo has a 4 Dex, it could deal up to 2 hp per tail attack. If you use up all your DEX in battles you may not be able to use CLIMB or BALANCE should the prompt roll.
Agi: How many Evasions or Pounces (in battle), or Jumps allowed per dungeon. Evading attacks negate HP damage. Pounces deal 1 hp damage each. JUMP is a prompt that can roll, if you have an available attempt you can complete this check and might find something!
Str: Involved in Pushing obstacles, or damaging opponents. Str stat is max damage per basic attack, but limited to your algos total stamina. PUSH is a prompt that might roll, if you have Stamina and Strength left you can complete this prompt!
Sta: How many Strength attacks that can be made. Require for PUSH prompt.
Int: Ability to notice treasure and loot, or hidden items. Every 5 int= +5% to notice HIDDEN prompts!
In the case of monsters, Agi is replaced with their own special attacks if possible. Int also determines likelihood that the monster also has loot with it, aside from the normal drops.
Special Prompts Summary:
Some rooms come with prompts for admins to add to the room description. If you have the applicable stat(s) you can reply to activate the prompt and use up that stat point. Prompts often reward extra items or finds!
HIDDEN - each room has a Hidden %, this is a admin only percentage and is rolled per room. If your algo's INT roll succeeds, you find something extra! You don't need to do any additional artwork or reply for INT Hidden rolls!
CLIMB/BALANCE/JUMP - prompts that may show an extra room, or unlock an area not normally accessible. Dungeon progresses as normal after the submission is processed for one of these rooms. Uses up 1 applicable stat point.
Dungeons may for example, show total rooms as 4, with up to 3 Prompt rooms. Prompt rooms are rolled at the start of a room's RNG rolls, so if you lucked out and one was rolled you'll receive that info in your results comment! Prompt rooms are an additional room exploration and require at least 14RP of art or writing to explore!
You can explore a prompt room after a battle as well, as long as the battle was successful and you weren't forced to flee (or lost).
Dungeons will be posted via separate Deviations each applicable season. The description will contain roughly the following information:
Dungeon Name: ex Murkwood Ruins
[Description]
Level: (Dungeoneering Level Required to Enter)
Rooms:
Monsters: List of possible monsters
Loot: (Not inclusive of monster loot, this loot is the final reward for completing a dungeon)
Limited: Yes/No (Yes means it's a one time dive, if you fail or flee you cannot re-enter this dungeon, or that it has special conditions. Dungeons may cycle back allowing re-entry at a later date, such as seasonal dungeons)
Each Level requires 10x the level in exp
A level 0 working toward level 1 would need 100 exp. Experience gains are Cumulative. That means at level 1 you would need another 100 exp to reach level 2.
Level 0 - 0 exp
Level 1 - 100 exp
Level 2 - 200 exp
Level 3 - 300 exp
Level 4- 400 exp
Level 5 - 500 exp
…
Level 10 - 1000 exp
…
Level 15 - 1500 exp
...
Level 20 - 2000 exp
Special Events that allows multiple Algo/members to participate, and ran as a group Event. Bosses have large amounts of HP and will run for 1 month, or until defeated. Bosses drop loot as well as Dungeon EXP, but if it is not defeated, it flees and everyone misses out on rewards!
If defeated, even if participating algo were knocked out, (0 HP) they will still get 25% of the reward exp.
An example boss: Snow-Drifter, with 500 Hp, would drop 100 exp per algo on a successful defeat. A KO’d algo would still get 25 exp for participating, along with loot rng. Boss battles have high chances to drop special and unique items not regularly found in Dungeons and gameplay.
Notes:
Boss battles are a team effort. Participation in a boss battle earns either full EXP or 25% should your algo get knocked out!
Each attack made by a member deals damage to the boss, but their attacking Algolope may also receive damage!
Algolopes must be able to Dungeoneer and have a Dungeoneering level to challenge a boss!
A successful boss battle drops rng loot to all participants! (Even knocked out!)
A knocked out Algolope can be healed, but cannot participate in the same boss battle. Participation loot is rolled no matter how many entries is done by one member.
Loot is rolled per member, not algolope. Only EXP is rolled per algolope.
