Snowflake often appears as small speckles and spots, lighter than the coat of the animal, visually white in coloration. The dominant gene has a wide range, and can cover most of the body of an algolope, while the recessive gene, may be limited to only 25% or less of the body.
(nSn) Single Allele
Snowflake are spaced far apart or localized on only 10-30% of the body. Can be anywhere there is fur. Should not be larger than the pupil and a may never touch another snowflake mark.
(SnSn) Dominant
In dominant snowflake the coverage is much more extensive. Spots can still be hard or soft edged, but generally they cover at least 50-80% of the body area, but not form clusters or large white sections.
Edge:
Edges of Snowflake can be Soft or Hard, or a mix of the two.
Variation:
Snowflake must be white or offwhite and a single color.
Snowflake can sit above most markings or be inbetween markings.
Snowflake should not densely cluster or touch, but a few 'spots' may touch here and there.
There should be at least 3 snowflakes visible on the design.
Snowflake can be different sizes but must be round or oval in general appearance. The spots can follow the form and distort slightly.
Snowflake can be affected by Reversal '-', where the marking becomes darker than the base coat or black. All other guides apply.

Snowflake should be smaller than the eye but not overly small.
At minimum there should be three spots.
