Seal lightens and grays out the coat, regardless of it's base color. Often the lips, nose, and tailtip remain a darkened color of the original basecoat or black . Faint spotting or blotches of black are usually accompanied with the gene, with dominant carries expression larger and more frequent markings as well as ring-like shapes.
(nSl) Single Allele
Seal has no range and instead grays out the coat to various degrees. Single allele Seal can show dark spots or blotches of black or a dark base color and can optionally darken the lips, muzzle, nose and tailtip. Soft spots on body can show darker color or base coat (inside of shoulder, belly, throat). Gray should not continue onto the head, but can be faintly visible at the start of the fluff on the neck.
(SlSl) Dominant
In double allele carrier of Seal, the graying can be more extreme, and the mottling of spots and splotches more dense. Dominant Seal can also create ring-like shapes on the coat.
Edge:
Edges of Seal can be Blended and Soft. Rings and Spots may be Hard or Blurred and have Mapping.

Variation:
Seal's graying can vary in intensity and color throughout the coat.
Seal sits above most marks and underneath white marks.
Seal spots can be darker than base color or black.
Seal spots can have fur texture. Gray can have small speckles, texture or roaning effect.
Seal can use colors from the Natural Accents Slider as long as the color is darker than the base coat for spotting.
Spots can be irregularly shaped, touching or clustering.
Rings are present only on Dominant Seal, rings may be irregularly shaped, vary in size, density and opacity but should not be larger than the eye.
