Mudmark

(MudMud/nMud) Mudmark

Mudmark adds a brown-reddish hue to the back of the legs, underside of the tail, feet and sometimes parts of the belly, like the algolope was dipped in mud. Mudmark edges can be blended, soft or hard edged or textured. Mudmark should be darker than base coat on lighter coat colors, or using brown color from natural slider and can have a Gradient (2 colors total) or Nuance Gradient. 

Note* Mudmark should not be overly saturated and should not be red on black coats.

(nMud) Single Allele and double allele

Mudmark has no range differences between single and double allele expression. The image below represents the general maximum and minimum ranges.

Variation:

Mudmark can have a gradient of 2 similar colors, or a nuance gradient. 

• Mudmark can be above or below other markings but must be below all white markings and reversed white marks.

• Mudmark can be as little as part of the light purple range and does not need to fill the entire minimum area show above. 

• Mudmark can have fur texture on furred areas.

• Mudmark can use brown or natural reddish colors from the Natural Accents Slider as long as the color is natural to the coat or 'darker' than the base color on lighter coats.  Such as reddish color on chocolate coat.

• Mudmark can have holes in the marking as long as the mark overall connects. For example, base color can show on parts of the legs or feet.

Coloring Mudmark:

Mudmark should be primarily chosen based on base coat color.  Use this chart for color choice, or keep natural 'mud' color in mind when choosing colors.

Colors should not be overly saturated or unnatural and bright, and may have reddish tones if chocolate, otherwise the red tones should be minimal as a small nuance gradient.
