Irish

(IrIr/nIr/-) Irish // (IrIrti/nIrti) Irish Ticked

Irish is a white mark that affects the front half of the algolope, leaving the head colored and extending no further down the body than the ribs in dominant expression. Irish marked algolopes often have a star or blaze as well. Irish has smooth hard edges, with occasional large circular holes cut through them. Irish can affect the forelegs either entirely, partially or be hidden by Pigeon Leg.

Ticked (nti)
Ticked is an incomplete recessive gene sharing the same Locus as Irish. Only one copy can be passed to offspring, but it shows regardless of the number of Irish allele. If Irish is not present but ticked is inherited the gene is only carried.
Ticked presents similarly to dusted, where the marking cuts holes in the white and shows the base color. Ticked will not create actual holes that show other markings. Spots for ticked can be small and dustlike or show as soft or hard edged spots, or a mixture of both. 

(nIr) Single Allele

With a single allele carrier the image below represents the average amount of Irish on the coat. Irish should fill the majority of the minimum area but generally fills up to the maximum area.

(IrIr) Dominant
In double allele carrier of Irish, white can be show past the shoulder region, up to most of the ribcage. In addition the star can extend to a fuller blaze or white mark on the muzzle and jaw.

Variation:

Irish can be offwhite or cream, with or without mapping edges.

• Irish sits above non-white marks.

• Irish can optionally cover the fore legs fully or partially, or the legs can be colored via Pigeon freemark. 

• Irish can have fur texture on furred areas.

• Ticked Irish shows the base coat color and should not show markings below. 

• Irish can be affected by Reversal, showing as black or darker color. Reversed Irish sits below regular white marks.
