Hood

(HdHd/nHd) Hood

This gene often darkens the face and neck area of the animal, giving them a hooded look.

(nHd) Single Allele

With a single allele carrier or Recessive Hood,  other markings can show on top, ie recessive hood would show mask on top, or striping markings. Other Markings can be full or partial opacity when recessive Hood is present.

(HdHd) Dominant
In double allele carrier of Hood, Dominant hood covers all markings,

Variation:

Hood can have a fur texture at the edges.

• Recessive Hood sits under most markings.

• Hood must cover at least the head of the algolope. 

• Free markings can show above hood, as well as white marks and reversal markings.

• Hood can have fur texture on furred areas.

• Hood can use colors from the Natural Accents Slider as long as the color is natural to the coat and 'darker' than the base color. 

• Hood can be affected by Reversal, making the marking 'lighter' than the base coat.
