Brindle

(BrBr/nBr/-) Brindle

Brindle is a jagged, vertical tiger-stripe like coat pattern showing as dark streaks over a lighter base color. Brindle only shows in Dominant form and is otherwise carried. Brindle can create complex, unique patterns and spread over the entire coat or be limited to a small area.  Brindle can also be thick and more regular shaped, originating on the neck and barrel and not touching the legs.

(nBr) Single Allele 

With a single allele, Brindle is only carried and not expressed.

(BrBr) Dominant
In double allele Brindle, the gene shows visually. The range can be the entire body or just a small portion such as the shoulder, hip, or down a single leg.

Variation:

Brindle can have it's own nuance or a slight fade or transparency as it moves down the sides.

• Brindle sits below most markings and underneath all white Marks.

• Tiger and Zebra sit above Brindle.

• Brindle can be irregularly shaped, hooked and with jagged edges, or a combination of stripe-like shapes and speckling.

• Brindle can display fur texture.

• Brindle can include a gradient of up to two colors.

• Brindle can use colors from the Natural Accents Slider as long as the color is natural to the coat and 'darker' than the base color. 

• Brindle can be affected by Reversal, making the stripes lighter than the base coat or white.

• Brindle should follow the form of the body and not be too straight or pasted on.
