Belton Spots or Belton, cuts holes in white markings, generally circular with hard edges and mapping. Belton starts at the lower legs and can also be mingled with white marks like Overo, Tobiano or Stocking to show the basecoat. Belton is restricted to the legs and is carried if no white marks are present. Belton is considered a Modifier Marking.
With other white marks, may show a few spots on the body or face, but spots should be minimal and not heavily clustered.
(nBel) Single Allele and Double Allele
There is no different between single or double allele carriers of Belton.
Edge:
Edges of Belton can be Hard with Mapping.
Variation:
Belton can be as few as 1 spot on a toe, showing the base coat and underlying markings.
Belton only shows on the legs, with the same range as Stocking.
Belton can continue up to the base of the shoulder and thigh.
Belton holes can have slight fur texture in furred areas.
Dominant Belton can cut holes in white marks on the face as well as a few spots on the body.
Belton should not resemble ticked on white marks and are larger holes with hard edges.
