UNO Cards

Copy Illustrator Template

1. Go to the Uno Cards Illustrator Template

2. If you aren't already signed in to Adobe, click "Sign in" in the top right corner.

3. Click "Copy to Files"

4. Open the Creative Cloud desktop app.

5. Rename: Right-click on the file and click "Rename" to add your last name to the start:

   • "Last Name, Uno Cards"

6. Open: Right-click and click "Open"

7. Workspace: Adjust your workspace (go to "Window" > "Workspace" > "Essentials Classic")

Choose a Font

1. In your "Layers" panel, unlock the "Text" layer.

2. Go to "Select" and click "All" or press "Ctrl" + "A" (This will select all the cards that will be Color1.

3. Change the font

   • Remember you can activate more fonts from Adobe Fonts

4. Depending on the colors you chose, you might want to change the color of your text. You can do this by double-clicking the "Fill" box to open the "Color Picker" and choosing a color then clicking "OK"

5. Lock your "Text" layer.

Make Your Cards Unique

1. In your "Layers" choose either "Top Designs" to make things on top of the numbers/icons or "Bottom Designs" to make things under the numbers/icons.

   • In my example on the right, I have chosen to draw on the numbers so I am using the "Top Designs" layer.

2. You can either:

   • Make each card unique

   • Make each number unique (my example on the right)

   • Make each color unique

3. Remember you can hold down "Alt" and click and drag to duplicate designs.

Design the back of the cards

1. You can:

   • Change the color of the card (Unlock your "Back of Cards" layer")

   • Add an image or draw and illustration (On the "Top Designs" or "Bottom Designs" layers")

   • Add text (Unlock your "Text" layer)

Optional: Make Your Own Wild Cards

On the last artboard there are two blank wild cards.

1. If you want, you can make up some extra wild/action cards.

Save as .AIC and .PDF

1. Go to "File" > "Save" to make sure to save your .aic file (if it is grayed out then it is already saved).

2. Go to "File" > "Save As..."

3. Choose "On your computer"

4. Click "Creative Cloud Files" folder on the left menu

5. Name: "Last Name, Uno Cards"

6. Click "Save"

7. Click "Save PDF"

8. Once you save as a .pdf, exit out of Illustrator. If you need to edit again and resave, make sure to edit your .aic file and re-save as a .pdf.
