Making letters, words, and phrases out of physical objects.

Often the typography is photographed for 2D use.

Using objects/materials that relate to the words can help you visually communicate your message even quicker.

Gather Supplies

  • Pasta

  • 1 piece of plain paper

Choose 2 Words

Choose at least two words that connect to the general theme of pasta/food.

  • Let's eat!

  • Yum yum yum

  • Good food, good mood

  • Bon appĂ©tit


  • It's pasta time

  • Eat Sleep Pasta

  • Penne for your thoughts

Sketch & arrange pasta

  1. If needed, sketch out your idea on your paper before arranging the pasta.

  2. Arrange the pasta to create:

    • Your chosen words

    • A pattern or border

Take a Photo

Either:

  • Take a photo of your word on your paper and email it to yourself

  • Or ask Mrs. Hodges to take a photo and download it from the Google Drive folder.

Turn in on Canvas

  1. Turn in your .jpg image on Canvas to the "Pasta - Tactile Type" assignment.

Put Away Supplies

  1. If you drew on your paper, recycle it.

  2. Put the noodles back in their respective containers
