External Shading Strategy on Thermal Performance of Hotel

The tourism business of hotel is one of the most energy consumption subsectors, with half of the energy usage due to the air conditioning. The thermal performance standard is applied on the hotel as to achieve the level of comfort for the guest. This project explore of the importance of the external sun shading device on the building façade as to reduce the solar radiation. Sun shading is the most economic and feasible passive design strategy for the thermal reduction. This study intend is to analyze the impacts of different external sun shading device towards the internal thermal of the hotel room.
