Design Pre-thesis 1 | Social Culture

The unplanned built environment in Kampung Cempaka resulted in degradation of the environment and social degradation which created an interval between local residents and outsiders, and also creating gaps in the relationship between local resident's old-folk and their young family members.

Cempaka residence @ The Vertical Village is a propose residential housing with incorporate the essence of social culture community in Kampung Cempaka in order to sustain and strengthen the existing social culture and enhance social interaction between residents and their family member, and also create a better relationship between Kampung Cempaka and neighborhoods.
