The original settlers were relocated in Kampung Cempaka after the 13 May 1969 Sino-Malay violence. They lost loved ones and were given land to resettle after race riots. Nowadays, the population in Kampung Cempaka were increased from 6000 to 8000 people after year 1969 and residents most are aged Chinese and youngest mostly move out from the place. Therefore, to overcome the problem of segregation between generations, this design proposal is mainly focus on the strategy of intergeneration how do they re-bonding each other.
