Kampung Bharu is one of the early settlements meant for Malay and has been gazette for agriculture. Malay Agricultural Settlement (MAS) has established as administrator for 223 acres land during Federated Malay States. As the agriculture is the main daily activity for living, harvesting the crops will be done in seasonal. The Malay Traditional games will be played during in awaiting time before harvesting and after harvesting season. Other than that, the games are played for leisure activity and festival. One of the traditional games that associated with male community during those days is sepak raga. Later, the game has been modified the format and change the name to sepak takraw. The format of playing sepak raga and sepak takraw are different but the similarity is to control the ball object used in the game) with leg without dropping it down.
