Design Pre-thesis 2 | Urbanism
Kampong Bharu is a renowned village in the city and was originally planned for Malay Agricultural Settlements. However, the identity of a village in the city has been thinned over the years due to rapid large scales developments and the location that invites profit-based developers. In future, it might have failed to provide a public space for the locals to improve their lifestyle and quality of life through leisure activities. So, the motivation behind this study is to distinguish the capability of recreation stage and how the cooperation in relaxation exercises prompts inside and outside advantages. Leisure activities can impact wellbeing through unpredictable and interconnected bio psychosocial apparatus. The idea is to propose Leisure Centre along Jalan Raja Abdullah in order to give concordance in the state of mind, to inject leisure participation and to activate space for social interaction.
