A Study On The Design And Development Of A Virtual Exhibit About The Former Fleet Of The Philippine Air Force For Filipino University Students

Hagin Busto

The Philippine Air Force has a rich and vast history of various milestones and achievements, brought about by different operations and aircraft. This history is showcased only in physical museums, with the primary exhibit held at the Philippine Air Force Aerospace Museum. With the digital age in full swing, there is a big opportunity to take advantage of virtual exhibits as they offer superior reach to potential audiences of a physical museum. There is a lack of knowledge about the Philippine Air Force’s history, particularly among the younger age groups. Survey data suggests that only a fraction of the aviation enthusiasts is in fact knowledgeable about the history of the Philippine Air Force. Paired this with the general lack of coverage about the Philippine Air Force history of local high school and university curricula, and we see a gap in information about the Air Force.
