The Development of an Online Platform to Strengthen the Brand Identity and Improve the Promotion of New and Existing Products of T'boli Trade and Crafts by the Cooperative of Women in Health and Development (COWHED) of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato

T’Boli Trade and Crafts is a business of The Cooperative of Women in Health and Development (COWHED). The women would produce items such as the T’nalak cloth, embroidered clothes, beadwork and brass products, which would be sold to tourists who visit Lake Sebu. Although with the current COVID-19 pandemic tourism has been difficult because of restrictions. T’boli Trade and Crafts lack exposure in online platforms and social media, and this hinders them to establish a stronger and distinct image with possible online customers. The research has designed a cohesive brand identity that will be used in various online platforms and social media promotions. These would include designs for a personal website, a Facebook page and an Instagram page. Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, the business has been successful in helping the women with stable income generation. Orders continuously come with the help of tourists who visit, and various NGOs who personally order. With this, more women have joined the cooperative to continuously practice their craft and generate their own income. Developing a brand identity for T'boli Trade and Crafts will bridge their purpose and objectives to their target market and more potential customers in the future. Designing appropriate online platforms would support these visuals in communicating to the digital market. This will help them strengthen and achieve their goals and maintain them in the long run. A brand identity will visually encapsulate the stories of the T'boli women of COWHED, while the online platforms would be the avenue to display their stories and products. More than just a souvenir shop, T'boli Trade and Crafts aim to provide women a stable source of income that will help not only in their society, but in their household as well.
