The Moot Court Competition is a simulated court proceeding where law students act as advocates to argue a fictional case. It involves teams preparing written submissions and delivering oral arguments before a panel of judges. The Competition is designed to develop legal research, writing and advocacy skills, while also promoting professionalism, teamwork, and public speaking.
The Moot Court Competition 2025 was organised by the University of Mauritius Law Society and Alumni (ULSA) Board 2025 in collaboration with the Panthéon-Assas Law Society (ALS). The event was a joint effort to promote legal excellence and cross-cultural academic exchange between students from both institutions. This year’s edition was on the theme “International Environmental Law”. The Moot Court Competition offers participants a platform to engage in high-level legal debate on contemporary legal issues.
