World Food Safety

The World Food Safety Day is celebrated each year on 7th June. The theme chosen for the year 2024 is "Food Safety- Prepare for the unexpected".

To mark this year's event, the Faculty of Agriculture of the UoM is organising a webinar which will provide some useful insights on Food Safety through two Talks:

(i) Strategic Action Plan to ensure Food Safety during routine and unexpected events in Mauritius by Dr Saber Mansour from Food and Agriculture Organisation. 

(ii) The role of Food Safety Culture to ensure performance beyond compliance by Prof JF Ryk Lues, Professor of Food Safety & Director of the Centre for Applied Food Sustainability and Biotechnology, Central University of Technology, Free State, South Africa.
