The Faculty of Agriculture in collaboration with F.A.L.C.O.N Association (Farmers in Agriculture, Livestock, Cooperative, Organic Network), is organising a three day Workshop on HACCP for small and medium food enterprises (SME) to help them understand and implement food safety measures effectively.
By following food safety management systems like HACCP, food enterprises can demonstrate their commitment to production of safe and wholesome foods, which can also open up opportunities with large retailers, distributors and international markets. The objective of this workshop is to support the food SMEs in meeting regulatory requirements, improving their processes and ultimately enhancing the overall safety and quality of their products.
The resource person is Prof Karl Matthews, Professor in the Department of Food Science at Rutgers University, USA. The workshop is offered free of charge to Small and Medium Food enterprises.

The criteria for selection are:
The course will be delivered in English. A good understanding of English is essential;
This course is open to those who have not previously benefited from a HACCP training;
Participants should be from food enterprises in operation;
Attendees should be present for all the sessions to qualify for a certificate of participation
The organising committee reserves the right to select the most appropriate candidates.
