In its mandate under the Equal Opportunities Act 2008, the Commission thrives towards the elimination of discrimination, promotion of equality of opportunity and good relations between persons of different status. 

In this context, the Office of Human Resources organised a sensitization session with Administrative staff from the Finance Cadre, Human Resource Cadre and other Cadres at the University in the presence of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Planning & Resources), the Director of Human Resources and the Finance Director. 

Guest speakers who addressed the audience were Mr Richard Toulouse, Mr Gunneshwar Shibchurn, Mr Gheeanduth Seechurn, from the Equal Opportunities Commission.
