The Stock Calls screen (as shown below) allows for the display and management of in-field and logyard log inventory, commonly referred to as 'Log Stocks'. Log Stocks are maintained by WoodType (often referred to as 'Log Grade') for each Gang Location.
Log stocks can be updated either manually within WSX, or by stock updates returned from either the Truck or Loader PDT's. Log Stocks are depleted by the uplift of loads in WSX, i.e. when a journey in WSX reaches the 'Loaded' status the quantity of that load is subtracted from the current stock position.

The Stock Call screen is made up of a number of components, displaying several facets of the information contained within WSX and allowing for a number of functions to be performed.
Stock Data - For each WoodType held against a gang location the following data is displayed, with totals for the gang location displayed below.
Qty - Displays current stock quantity (edited by double-clicking or in the stock update process)
Call - Displays stock quantity added when undertaking a Stock Call
Plan - Displays any planned uplifts
Req - Displays any
Uplift - Displays accumulated uplift quantity (loads) for the current week.
Call Date & Time - Displays the date & time the stock was last updated
Fell Date - Displays any fell date captured (edited by double-clicking or in the stock update process)
Call By - Displays the origin of the most recent stock update, e.g. WSX user name or Loader PDT Code.
Comment - Displays for any comment recorded against the stock item (edited by double-clicking or in the stock update process)
Gang & Gang Location Data (can be edited via the Gang Location screen)
Gang - When opening the Stock Calls screen you will be prompt to select a Gang. Once selected the Gang Code and Gang Name will present in the top left of the screen. You can select a new Gang by clicking on the drop-down beside the Gang Name or use the Prev/Next buttons to scroll back or forward through the available gangs.
Filtering the Gang Locations Displayed - By default the screen will open with all active gang locations and their associated stock items displayed. The following options allow for filtering the display as described.
Select Loc - Allows for filtering by a specific Gang Location (also access to edit the details associated to a gang location).
Select Cmpt - Allows for filtering of the screen to display locations and their associated stock for a single compartment only.
All - Returns the default display showing all active locations for the gang.
Combine? - Presents a single line for each WoodType, combining all the values for that WoodType from all active locations. Note that stock items cannot be edited when the Combined option is selected.
Supervisor - Displays the supervisor assigned to the Gang Location (if set)
Gang Location Comment - Displays data held in the 'Comment' field for the Gang Location (edited also by double-clicking on the field)
Location Comment - Displays data held in the 'Comment' field for the Setting associated to the Gang Location (edited also by double-clicking on the field)
Name - Allows for a 'common name' for the location to be assigned. Displays data held in the 'Name' field for the Gang Location (edited also by double-clicking on the field).
Lat/Long/Verified - Displays the GPS coordinates for the Gang Location (as held against the Gang Location). This data can be edited by manually within the Gang Location screen or GPS coordinates can also be updated from the Gang Loader PDT if activated (see Loader PDT Integration section for details)
Event Log - Current Event Log items logged against the Gang or its default loader will display in the yellow panel to the left of the stock list.
Journey Data - Journeys for the Gang or selected Gang Location display in the bottom panel of the screen. These display in order of newest 'At Gang' or 'Loaded' time at the top to oldest at the bottom. The following options allow you to adjust what is displayed,
Uplift Date - Select the date for which you wish journeys to display. This will be set by default to the current day each time the screen is opened.
Show All Journeys? - Where ticked, this will show all journeys for the gang for all gang locations. where unticked, only journeys for the highlighted gang location i the stock list will display (Note the default setting for this can be controlled with the DB Setting ShowAllJourneysInStockScreen)
Double-clicking on any of the journeys displayed in the stock calls screen will open the Journeys screen for the selected Truck and Date. To view full details for all journeys for the gang for the selected date you can click on the Journeys button.
The Stock Calls screen allows for several key functions to be performed,
Adding a new Gang Location - A new gang location can be added by selecting the New Skid button and completing the required files in the (see Adding a Gang Location section for details)
Adding or Removing WoodTypes - WoodTypes can be added or removed from a gang location either individually or in bulk.
Individual WoodTypes can be added or removed from the gang location using the following options.
Adding - Either use the Insert key or use the right-click Insert Stock option. From the Select a WoodType screen that presents, select the required WoodType and click 'Select'
Removing - Highlight the WoodType to remove and either use the Delete key, or click on the Del W/T button. Note that WoodTypes can only be removed from a gang location when they have a zero stock quantity. To zero the stock quantity you can use the right-click Zero This Stock option.
Bulk additions or removals of WoodTypes to/from a gang location can be undertaken using the following options,
Adding - The following options exist to bulk add WoodTypes to a gang location
Copy Last - Allows you to copy all the WoodTypes to the most current location from the second most current location. Note this adds WoodTypes with zero quantity values, i.e. it does not copy the existing stock quantities from the previous location.
Import Stock Data - WoodTypes can be added from the import of a correctly formatted CSV by selecting the Import button. Note this options also allows for stock quantities to be imported at the same time (see Updating Stocks section for details)
Assign Remaining WUR - The right-click Assign Remaining WUR option allows you to copy from a previous location to your selected location, all WoodTypes and their remaining Weekly Uplift Request value. When utilised, you are prompt to select the existing gang location from which the values are to be copied from - (see the WUR (Weekly Uplift Requests) section for full details)
Removing - WoodTypes can be removed in bulk by using the right-click Delete Zero Stocks option. This option will remove any WoodType from the gang location with a zero stock quantity. Note if you wish to remove all WoodTypes from a location you can first initiate a full stock update (Update All) with all 'Call' values set as zero (see Updating Stocks section for details)

Updating Stock - Allows for the current stock quantity associated to each stock item along with associated data such as Fell Date and Comments can to be updated (see Updating Stocks section for details)
Modify the 'Available' Status of a Gang Location - The following right-click options allow for modification of the 'Available' status of the highlighted gang location,
Set Location Unavailable - Sets the gang location as 'Unavailable' (see Adding a Gang Location section for details)
Set Location Available - When a location has previously been set as 'Unavailable', this option clears that and makes the location available.
Set Location as Only Available - Sets all gang locations except the one you are highlighted on as 'Unavailable'.
Communicating with Gang Loader PDT's - the following options exist within the right-click menu for sending jobs or text messages to the Loader PDTs
Delete all jobs from Loader PDT(s) - Sends a 'Clear PDT' message to any associated Loader PDT's for the Gang or Gang location.
Resend all jobs to Loader PDT(s) - Resends all current journeys in the pre-'Loaded' status for the Gang Location
Send Message to Loader PDT(s) - Allows for the creation and sending of a text message to any Loaders associated to the Gang or Gang Location.
View Location Documentation - Where documentation related to the Gang Location or its associated Compartment has been associated, clicking the Loc Doc button will open this documentation.
View Historical Stock Activity - the right-click View Stock Activity option opens the Stock Activity Record screen, providing visibility of stock updates & depletions for a selected date range (see Stock Activity Record section below for full details)
Stock Activity Record
The Stock Activity Record screen displays all of the transactions that have occurred against a stock item for the chosen period, including all stock additions (stock calls) and depletions (uplifts).
When opened the screen displays by default for the gang and gang location you had highlighted in the Stock Calls screen, with the option to chose a new Gang or Gang Location using Crew and Location selection boxes.
Data Displayed - For stock activity record, along with the associated Log Org, Gang, Gang Location, WoodType and date & time of the activity, the following data displays
Type - Stock activity type, i.e. Stock Call or Uplift
Quantity - Quantity added or depleted from the stock item
Origin - Origin of the increment or depletion, e.g. for a stock call this maybe the WSX user or the Loader PDT and for an uplift, this will be the Truck Code
Comment - Displays as follows depending on type and origin of activity,
WSX Stock Call - Any stock comment added at the time of the stock call or existing prior
PDT Stock Call - Date & time the stock call was received from the PDT
Uplift - Docket number associated to the uplift
StkPos - Displays the quantity of the stock as it stands post the activity, i.e. after the stock call or uplift.
Filter Options
Date Range - Set the date range for which you wish to view the stock activity records. When opened by default this is just set to the current day and the maximum period you can choose to view activity for is 30 days.
Display Data From - Allows for filtering the displayed data to show stock activity from one of the following
All - All stock activity
Stock Calls - View stock call activity only
Stock Increments - Not currently implemented
Uplifts - View uplift activity only
Deliveries - View stock updates from auto-increment deliveries to a linked customer
Note: This screen does not auto-refresh once opened. To refresh the data you must either click on the Refresh button or close and reopen the screen.
