Groups of trucks can be established in Hawk-Eye and allocated to users, allowing custom sets of trucks to become visible to users (as opposed to full fleets). These groups can be created and allocated to one or many users and may be for an indefinite period of time, or set to expire at a certain date. To establish a Group;
Select Global Settings > Fleet, locate the Fleet (search or scroll) and click on the Edit pencil
2. Adding a Folder - From the Edit Fleet screen click on the Add folder option and enter the name of the folder into the screen that presents and click OK. Once returned to the Edit Screen you need to click Save to complete adding the folder - this must be done before any further actions can be undertaken against this folder. On saving the group you will be returned to the main Fleet screen.
3. Adding a Group - From the main Fleet screen again click on the Edit pencil beside the Fleet and select Group Structure from the Edit Fleet screen. The folder you added should now be visible in this screen. To add a group right-click on the folder and select Add Group and enter the name of the group into the screen that presents and click OK. Once returned to the Edit Screen you need to click Save to complete adding the group - This must be done before trucks and users can be added to the group. On saving the group you will be returned to the main Fleet screen.
4. Adding Trucks - From the main Fleet screen again click on the edit pencil beside the Fleet, select Group Structure from the Edit Fleet screen and click on the newly created Group. To add trucks, click on the Edit Pencil beside the Vehicles option on the right-hand side.
In the screen that presents, click on the Add button below the Selected Vehicles section. From the list of vehicles that presents in the table below click on the + icon to add to the Selected Vehicles list above. Once all trucks are added click Save.
Membership: Note that if required, you can set the membership of the trucks in this group to both start from a future date and/or also to expire at a specified date. To assign dates to the the membership start and end click on the Future radio button and add dates and times into the fields that present. If membership to the group is starting immediately and has an indefinite end date then leave the Membership Start set as 'Now' and the Membership End set as 'No End Date'
5. Adding Users - From the Edit Fleet screen click on the newly created Group and click on the Edit Pencil beside the Users option on the right-hand side. A list of available users will present and from this list select those that require access by ticking in the 'Assigned' column. Users can be searched by clicking on the Filter button and typing into the field that presents. Once all users requiring access have been selected, click Save.
Note: Users who have access to Group Administrative areas may also be given access to edit the group by ticking the 'Group Edit' option, however, this should only be afforded to users trained in the management of groups.
Following the addition of the users, to complete set-up of the group click Save on the Edit Group screen.
The list of Trucks and Users associated to the Group can be viewed within the Edit Fleet screen by clicking on the + symbol beside the menu options on the right-hand side.
