Artist Statement

The main idea that guided my artwork was copying the college I made onto canvas. For the college I did not have any ideas going into it I just cut out things that looked cool and then came up with an idea from their. The idea behind this is men's view of women and more specifically in America.

This college was made with cuts out bits of magazine and glue on this hard college paper. The painting was made with acrylic paint and paint marker on canvas paper.

The process to make the painting started with deciding whether or not I wanted to keep it the exact same or change it up a bit. I decided that I would keep it pretty much the same except for the small details that would be hard to paint. From there I just painted exactly what I saw as best I could besides changing the background color to pink on the right.
