Artist Statement

The main idea that guided this artwork was creating a slogan to inspire others to donate organ and tissue and to create art that went along with the slogan. I was very inspired by Sir Quentin Sax's art whom made Roald Dahl's illustrations so that was also one of the things that guided me.

This artwork was made with ballpoint pen and watercolor on watercolor paper.

The process to create this started with coming up with an idea. I wanted to do something different than just a single picture and find a different way to tell a story. A short comic was the perfect answer and I knew that I wanted to include books in it somewhere because they are storytelling. I did a couple od drafts on figuring out how I wanted to draw this and then I did my water color base and added the sharpie on top.
