Time Capsule Drawings

Linear perspective 9x12

To create the time capsule drawings we were asked to create a self-portrait, a linear perspective drawing, and a drawing of an object. I used a pencil, paper, and I used a ruler for the perspective drawing.

To create these drawings I used the element of line. I used it to create the basic forms and the details. I used value when shading the drawings and used space to center my drawings and fill the paper in a balanced way. I created contrast between the harder and thinner lines and the soft shading.

I am proudest of the linear perspective drawing and the proportions between the doors and the paintings. I struggled with the details and shading of the teacup. However, it was easier after I shaded using a picture so that the lighting wouldn't shift.
