Photoshop Self-Portrait
12x15
Photoshop brush and color selector
The main idea of my work was to create a self-portrait in photoshop based on a picture of myself.
The materials I used to create this piece were a picture of myself and the paintbrush and color dropper in photoshop. I used the color dropper to find the colors from the photo to create the portrait. I then used the paintbrush to section off sections of different values and filled the sections with the paint bucket/fill tool.
The processes I used to create this piece were experimenting and revision. I experimented with the tools to find what fill setting would create the cleanest transition between the sections of colors. I revised sections that needed to be split into smaller sections of color to create more definition in my face. I also revised some sections of my clothing to simplify them and make flow together more easily.
