Sustained Investigation 3

Slipping Through Like Sand

Plaster, mirror, resin, ink

The main idea was to portray people holding onto people/feelings that hurt themselves and the lengths people will go to in order to feel like they are in control and not lose those that they value.

The materials I used were plaster to create the hands. I used pieces of mirror, ink, and resin to create the "blood" and wounds.

The processes I used were experimentation and revision. I experimented with using resin and the way it would flow/hold its form. I then revised the "blood" by going back and using ink over the resin to create a bolder color and more blood.
