Mood board for ‘Intro to Me’ Film: My intended colour palette will be warm reds and darker blues as new home backdrop is a red wall that I will be sat in front of in a blue hoodie for contrast. I want to show myself in a hoodie as I have a wide collection of them that define me do to their different significances. The Spider verse, Yoda and Hadestown images will be used in the film as they are my favourite film, tv and show. The selection of images including myself are the sort of images I want to present my friends and family image. I may take a few videos of friends and family to back these up. The stickman is to represent a simple animation that I will complete as I also have a love for animation and want to display this.
Introduce myself with a voice over/ appearance in front of camera and talk basic details about myself including my name, hometown, etc. Possibly do this in animated form.
Shots of my hobbies with voice over explanation of what they are.
Move through pictures and clips of my favourite film, TV, show and land on song. Meanwhile, have a voice over explaining these and appear in frame when it hits music to have a little dance.
Shots of my family going about their everyday lives with text in frame for their names.
Shots of me and my friends hanging out with voice over recording of them talking about me.
If possible, compose a 30 second clip of music for background along with favourite song. If not, find a track on Adobe Stock.
Starts with NICK onscreen in his room (MCU).
'Hi I'm Nick. That doesn't really say much does it? Let's try that again.'
NICK picks up the camera and drops it, transitioning to him outside with friends, catching the camera and holding it up.
'I'm Nick, just some kid from a village who really likes movies, among other things.'
Transition to shots of NICK going about everyday life interspersed with shots and stills of the village.
'My hobbies include music, scouting, graphic design and fencing.'
Shots of the different hobbies ending with a still of a man with a fence.
'No not that kind.'
Shot switch back to clip of NICK fencing followed by more shots and stills of everyday activity.
'That's better. Anyways, that's my favourite film, TV and song.'
Song starts playing for a few seconds before cutting out and shot returns to NICK in his room.
'What else do you need to know about me? Ah yes, the people around me. Well, that's my family.'
Shots of family members going about everyday life.
'And these are my friends.'
Display shots and stills of NICK and his friends with mixed voice overs from friends talking about him.
'Hi I'm Nick and this is me.'
Finish with still of NICK.
My story board gives me a greater understanding of a progression for my video with visual representation to bring it to life.
