Miércoles 3/24

Bellwork: Slide 29 here

Vocab Review: Use this powerpoint here to review routine/reflexives vocab

Homework Review: Go over answers from yesterday's homework worksheet

Mi Rutina: On a page in your notebook, brainstorm your morning routine in English. Then, translate to Spanish and put them all in the 'yo' form (Ex: me despierto). Finally, add the time you do each in Spanish (a las = at) (Ex: A las seis y veinte).

Tarea: Finish your "Mi Rutina" from class today. Then, put it into a comic strip. An example can be found here -- the text in each box will look just like the first one (I do ___ at ____o'clock).

Jueves 3/25

Bellwork: GimKit "Draw It" to practice Reflexive/Routine Vocab

Daily Routine Reading: Found here. I read the text out loud as students answered the questions at the bottom. We reviewed the answers as a class.

Movie Talk: Started "Destiny" in class. Will finish tomorrow in class.

Tarea:

  1. Test corrections due tomorrow

  2. ACTIVELY study all vocab in your Spanish Notebook, including the page with all useful verbs. We are going to be drawing upon all of your previous Spanish knowledge tomorrow in class, so brush up on some old vocab for at least 20 minutes tonight!

Viernes 3/26

Bellwork: Slide 30 here

Gestures: Came up with physical actions to do with the words Despertarse, Levantarse, Lavarse, Sentarse, and Peinarse. Doing movements while saying/hearing words makes you 55% more likely to remember the word(s) in the future, FYI!

Movie Talk: "Destiny" -- wrote on tables/typed into chat to answer the questions "¿Qué pasa? ¿Qué ves?" Emphasis was put on reviewing Routine Vocab, any Spanish verbs/words students remember, and creating full sentences using a variety of different verbs. We finished 1:23 of the video and will finish it after break.

Tarea:

  1. Complete your notebook check here

  2. Test corrections are due today! Submit them through your Monday Work from this past Monday here
