Martes 1/19 - Comparison Words

Bellwork: Slide 1 here

Seis: Students translate these sentences while roll a dice. Whenever I roll a 6, students switch how they hold their pencil (non-dominant hand, one-finger, no fingers, notebook on top of head, etc...), but they keep translating. (here)

Notes: Comparison Words (here). Write down vocab in Spanish and English, but write down the sample sentences only in Spanish.

Homework:

Family Tree Project: Instructions and Rubric found here. In class, we each decided if we were doing our own family tree or if we wanted to make up a fictional family. Then we brainstormed and answered the following about our "mother". Class-created info you need for each person AND how you write them in full sentences found below.

Tarea (Homework): Just like we did in class, I want you to brainstorm the above information for 3 more of your family members (your Padre, Hermano, and Hermana are the ones I suggest, but you can do any 3). Can brainstorm either with single Spanish words OR by putting them into complete sentences. Due tomorrow at the beginning of class.

Jueves 1/21 - Family Tree Project

Family Tree Project: Example here, then work on your own for 25 minutes (brainstorming, full sentences, powerpoint, ask me any translation questions)

Tarea (homework): Finish brainstorming for each of the ten people in your family before class tomorrow

Viernes 1/22 - Project, Test Review

Bellwork: Practice conjugating ar/er/ir here

Family Tree Project: rest of class to turn your 10 brainstorms from last night's homework into complete sentences.
