Review: Use whiteboard to practice Question Words vocab

Story: Guided story-telling. I asked questions in Spanish and students responded with their ideas in Spanish. Practicing question words, adjectives, basic questions, family vocab, hobbies/verbs, and learned arroz (rice) and muerta (dead). Our story can be found below.

Tarea: Answer the following questions about our story. Then, finish the story by including these phrases:

  • van a = they go to

  • dice que = says that

  • quiere un cadáver = wants a cadaver (dead body)

  • no muere = doesn't die

  • el fin = the end

National Geographic: On nationalgeographic.com, we looked at the recent Photo of the Day and created some questions in Spanish about them. On the last photo we did, I asked the questions and students had to both translate AND answer them in the chat. A few sample questions can be found below. (here)

  • ¿De dónde es?

  • ¿Cómo se llama la chica?

  • ¿Qué color es el pelo de la chica?

  • ¿El chico en azul es serio o cómico?

  • ¿Cuántos años tiene la chica joven?

  • ¿Cuál es el color favorito de la mujer vieja?

Tarea: On National Geographic, choose one Photo of the Day and write 5 questions about the photo, as if you were giving a Quiz on it. They can be obvious, simple, or they might not have a direct answer! Some sample questions can be found above.
