What Is It?

Stepping is a percussive, highly-energetic art form first developed through the song and dance rituals performed by African-American fraternities and sororities.

The body becomes an instrument, using footsteps, claps and spoken word to produce complex poly-rhythms.

Stepping has been described as “one of the most exciting dance forms created in the 21st century.”

What We Do ...

We step, dance, tie dye, perform at festivals and school events and colleges, drum, experiment with cup rhythms and bucket drumming, and so much more!

How Can You Get Involved?

Join us for a day!

You don't have to be a dancer or have rhythm to join. We need people who are loud, energetic, good with social media, quiet, creative, fun, awkward -- we need you!
