Tarea (Homework): Complete this worksheet here. For the top half, fill in the numbers 1-7 with the correct forms of the verb "ser" -- you can use your notes if need be! Then translate numbers 8-10 to Spanish.

Homework Review: Go over the answers from yesterday's worksheet

Hobbies Listening: I describe what each person likes out loud, and students need to fill in the boxes on this sheet here to reflect what I say.

Catfishing: Brainstorm ideas for a Catfish profile that we'll create in class tomorrow. Start a list of personality and physical traits, likes and dislikes, name, age, origin, etc, in Spanish

Tarea (Homework): Translate the following sentences to Spanish

  1. I like sports.

  2. You like to read and listen to music.

  3. We don't like to eat.

  4. They don't like homework.

  5. Maria likes girls and boys.

Jueves 2/25 - Gustar Notes

Bellwork: Copy down the second half of the gustar notes here

GimKit: Practice the Gustar Notes from today and Tuesday

Listening: Practice gustar and hobbies by listening to 6 different descriptions and drawing each in a cloud. The descriptions can be found below. Done in-class.

Catfish: Finish creating our catfish profiles by writing our descriptions in complete sentences, then uploading them and photos onto this slideshow here. To be finished for bellwork tomorrow.

Tarea (Homework): Using this worksheet here, listening to the song "Me gustas tú". Use the youtube link found at the top, since there are a few different versions of this song. As you listen, fill in the blanks with WHATEVER you hear. Don't cheat by looking at the lyrics -- I want to know what you hear, even if it doesn't look like a word! Then you can check to see how close you were by the lyrics on the video.

Quiz: Gustar and Hobbies (email me to make this up, if you were absent)

Speed Dating: 15 minutes to finish creating a profile on this powerpoint here. Then, we spent 45 seconds looking at each profile. For each person, students wrote down the information from slide 1. After looking at them all, students chose 1 profile to look at more in-depth.
