Numbers Review: In Spanish, tell me how many of each item you have in your house here

Quizlet: Join our class Quizlet here (each student creates a vocab list in our class titled "[Your Name] Spanish Vocab", then add any 7 words to that list that we have reviewed so far in class)

Notes: Student-guided review of how to conjugate verbs. Summary of our notes/explanation of how to conjugate are found in the pictures below. If you struggle with this, please reach out and I can either re-explain in class or we can do a one-on-one ZOOM.

Homework: Using your knowledge/notes of conjugating, use this worksheet here to conjugate each box. You can either handwrite it, or make a copy of the Google Doc and share it with me.

There are 3 types of verbs in Spanish: -ar, -er, and -ir, which refers to the last 2 letters of the word.

When we conjugate verbs on paper, we use this special chart for verbs only. It is comprised of 6 boxes, and each box is assigned a different person(s).

Below are the endings for the different types of verbs. Ar verbs are on the left, Er/Ir are on the right. To conjugate a verb, you first need to take off the ending (ar, er, ir), then figure out who your subject is (yo? tú? ella?), and finally add the correct letter ending based on your subject. Examples are found next to each chart.

Viernes 1/8 - ¡Hola, Llamigo!

Bellwork: here (slide 2)

Homework Review: Minuto Loco from yesterday

Conjugating Practice:

  • Ar endings here

  • Er/Ir endings here

  • Ar/Er/Ir endings and paragraphs here

Blooket: In-class game used to review all 3 present tense conjugations

¡Hola, Llamigo! -- On a new page in your notebook, the name of the activity is "¡Hola, Llamigo!". Watch this video here. Every 5 seconds, pause the video and write down any/all Spanish words that came to your mind while watching those 5 seconds. Words can be colors, numbers, verbs, family members, adjectives -- literally anything you remember in Spanish!

Homework: Check the Spanish Website again on Monday for your Monday Work and Notebook Check 1!
