Abortion is when a pregnancy is ended so that it doesn't result in the birth of a child. Sometimes it is called 'termination of pregnancy'. Abortion is immoral and should not be committed. Even though the fetus has not been born yet, and is not fully human yet, it still has the very likely potential to be just like us one day. The fetus still has the same cells as us, and is very much like us even though it has not been born yet, so destroying it is wrong. A fetus has a future like ours of great value and killing the fetus deprives the fetus of that future. Human life begins at fertilization, and it is always wrong to intentionally kill an innocent human being.
If the baby is killed because of disease or sickness, there is no need to purposely kill it, when there might still be a chance for it. For example, if a rescuer is going into a burning vehicle to try to save its injured occupants, and is only able to save one of the two occupants, does it make sense for him to then take out his gun and shoot the person he was unable to save? Intentionally killing those you were not able to save is never justified in healthcare. We have the technology and expertise to provide quality healthcare to a pregnant woman without intentionally killing her unborn baby, regardless of the severity of her disease.
