If you have an eCarUp account but can no longer log in, it is most likely because you have entered the password incorrectly. eCarUp does not have a password expiration period, which means that once a password is set, it can only be changed by the account user. eCarUp does not have access to passwords or the ability to change them.
If you have forgotten your password, click on “Forgot Password?”.
Once you have entered the email address, you should click on “Send”.
If the email address was entered correctly, an email should appear in the inbox.
Note: This email comes from Smart-me, as the eCarUp account is linked to the account of our parent company Smart-me.
If the email does not arrive, you need to check two things
That the email was entered correctly above, as there is no error message if it is entered incorrectly. The error message does not appear because we do not want to make it possible to find out whether an account exists or not, and thus avoid potential attacks.
Also, check the SPAM folder.
Click the link to be redirected to a new page. You should be able to add a new password there. The page will say “Add a new password”
If “Add a new password” does not appear, there are two possible reasons:
If the “Add a new password” image does not appear, it is mainly the case with iOS/Apple devices that the link or URL is truncated. You can recognize the problem by the fact that the URL is not blue over the entire length. In this case, you cannot reset the password by just clicking the link. You have to copy the link and paste it into your browser.
You must not be logged in with another smart-me or ecarup account. Otherwise, you will change the password of the logged-in account.
To change the password, you can now enter your new password here. Make sure that it does not contain £, $ as these characters could cause errors.
After that, you can click on “Save new password” to set the new password.
You can now switch back to the eCarUp page and log in.
