Venture and IB Programs Course Calendars
The Venture Program in grades 8 to 10, and the International Baccalaureate Program in grades 11 and 12, offer students at Britannia unique academic challenges. The IB program is recognized world-wide as the best preparation possible for university study. It includes a full slate of academic coursework, as well as preparation in research and essay-writing, and a commitment to extra-curricular activities through CAS. Students who complete the full Diploma program can obtain preferred admission and advanced credit at most universities. Once there they will find that the skills in communication and thinking they have gained from the IB will help them be successful from the very beginning.
The Venture program serves to prepare students for the demands of the IB program in grades 11 and 12. Courses include expanded content, as well as the skills necessary to be creative and critical thinkers who can communicate ideas effectively and efficiently.
Students interested in the IB program are strongly recommended to join the Venture Program no later than grade 10. Students must make application to both programs. We are looking for a good academic record, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to activities outside the classroom.
