Bonnie played this round of golf like the storm that had just come through Bella Vista! Strong and Fierce! She insisted it was not her normal game! Well, it may not have been normal but it was an awesome round! She and her partner Linda kept Elaine and I saying, surly they can’t keep this up the whole round. Well they could.... and did!

We started out tying the first 2 holes, then Bonnie and Linda took #3. We tied the next 4 holes and here is an example of how play was going. #8 3 players were near the green after 2 shots and Lisa on the green in 2... so Elaine and I thought okay, finally we can maybe, just maybe we can get a hole. Then Bonnie, being the furthest out plays first, chips in for a net eagle! Really, I mean Really... Can’t even birdie a hole for a tie...Talk about stinging! But again what can you say, I mean what a nice shot!

Next hole, we finally got one, I think Bonnie and Linda were still a little excited from her previous chip in. Yes, we finally take a hole and that’s right, it felt great to get our first hole even though it was to get us back to down by 1

.

We continued to tie holes, next 7 holes in a row, all the way to #17... blow by blow on every hole. All four Ladies giving their all and playing with grit.

Finally on 17, Elaine and I hit the green and they did not. Wow, we finally take a hole. On to 18, Elaine and I kept our heads down shot after shot and got that final hole... so happy there were no more holes to play!

Once we were finished, congratulations all around... then in for a drink and some fried green beans, sharing stories of our match and the storm ( I mean the storm that hit Bella Vista Monday night, not the one on the course)! Bonnie once more started to apologize for playing so well... we stopped her and said she needed to just enjoy that she had a day like that!

Just a note, even with all the difficulties in getting schedules together, tee times, playing in heat, the rain, even the cold (remember we all started this back in April/May)... I do love this tournament and all the Ladies competing in it... and especially my partner, it was a lot of fun!
