2015 Consolation Champion ... Elaine Twyman

Gayle and I started our match today on Berksdale. Elaine won the first and 2nd hole. The 3rd hole Gayle hit her tee shot just short of the green and had a great chip and 2 putts. Elaine was on the green with her tee shot but had a long putt for bird which didn't go, so we tied the hole. Moving on to #4 Gayle had a tee shot with a lot of roll and bounce but right. Elaine's tee shot was in the fairway, but hit the rough on the next shot and couldn't get out of that rough--so with a chip, chip Gayle wins the hole. We've played 4 holes and score is tight--Elaine is one up. Gayle found the sand trap next hole and conceded the hole. So we continued on and after nine Elaine is up 6. Made the turn and Elaine continued with 2 pars, and the match was over 8 & 7. What a great day!!! Great weather, great friends and good competition on Berksdale. Can't get any better!!!
