The partner match play Patty Walker and Nan DeLany VS Marylin Garris and Rose Jones was played today June 6, 2017 at 8 am Shotgun On Kingswood Golf Course. Connie Kuske is hospitalized with pneumonia so last night Rose Jones graciously offered to fill Connie's position. Rose is a warm, caring person who recently joined BVWGC and is very delightful and comfortable to play with.
The match started on hole 5 at Kingswood. The match was quite tight despite Garris/Jones being down 3 after 5 holes. Walker kept putting her shot to the green unbelievably close to the cup and sinking the put. Jones started warming up on the back 9. Jones/Garris won 4 holes in the next 6 holes. After making the turn on hole 1 Walker/Delany won holes ending up winning the match 2 up with 1 hole to go.
It was a beautiful day with very enjoyable friends and a great time was had even though some of us lost. Thanks so much for your efforts in conducting Handicap Partner Match Play
