Garris over Schoenecker

The first round of Match Madness between Garris and Schoenecker was held today at Berksdale Golf Course with an early 7:59 AM tee time. The match began even on the first hole, Garris down one on the second hole, then back to even. It was a very close match being tied after the fourteenth hole. Garris won the fifteenth hole with Schoenecker having difficulty in the right bunker. Garris increased her lead to +2 on the sixteenth hole with Schoenecker having putting difficulty. Despite Schoenecker's three birdies on the back nine (including a 2 club $1 one on 18) she came up short and Garris won 1 up. Schoenecker showed her strength and length in her drives but her putter failed her today.
