Jacobson Defeats Alger

On a beautiful summer day at Highlands, Sue Jacobson defeated Jessica Alger 4 and 3. As Jessica said, "I just couldn't get it going ... especially my putting." And that about sums up the match. Sue played a steady game with a rather interesting drive on the par 5 8th hole ... very laughable! But she came right back with a birdie on 9 and then played well enough on the back side to take control of the match. As such, Sue becomes the first semi-finalist!
