Placial Holds Off Brashears

Gayle Placial played a "really tough" match against Karen Brashears on Monday, June 10th at Kingswood. Gayle played well on the front side and had Karen down 4 at the turn. However, Karen "put the pedal to the metal on the back" and almost made it all the way back. She fell just short when the competitors tied the 18th hole allowing Gayle to win 1 Up. Gayle had to be mentally tough throughout the match as it would frequently take her a few shots to catch up to Karen's drives. According to Gayle, Karen "hit the ball so far!" Way to hang in there, ladies!!!
